ACS BR! Error Code Help

Error Number:

4205

Description:

The Printer is not responding.

Common Causes:

A. Printer is off, offline, or out of paper.

B. ECP Printer Port

ECP can not be supported by Business Rules

EPP, SPP, Standard, Bi-Directional are

all supported, pretty much all

except ECP.

C. EMF Data Format.

D. Lost Port Capture.

E. Another Program has the Printer open.

i.e. MS Word, Another ACS Session, etc...

F. Printer Buffer is Overflowing

G. Another computer on the network has the

Printer locked. (only seen this once)

Common Solutions:

A. Fix Printer

B. Change ECP Port mode to one supported

C. Spool Data Format should be set to RAW.

D. ReCapture your printer port.

E. Close the other program and click Retry

F. Click Start>Settings>Control Panel>Printers

Right Click on the Printer in question.

Click on Properties.

Click on the Details tab.

Click on the Spool Settings button.

Click the radio button next to

Spool print jobs so program finishes

printing faster

Click the radio button next to

Start printing after first page is

spooled

Make sure Spool Data Format is set to RAW

Click OK>OK>X

G. Reboot the printer server (computer directly

attched to the printer)
