| Common Causes: |
A. NetWork name was deleted B. It is definitely a network error, we have a note to disable the screen saver because it messed with the network connection. Microsoft Defines error 64 as: The specified network name is no longer available. C. D. Under XP using user switching if you use a login screen saver, it will drop the network connection. |
| Common Solutions: |
A. B. Try going to my computer, and see if the drives have an “X”. Somehow the driver are loosing connection with the server. C. I have this issue in general running XP Home or 2000 connecting to any server running XP or 2000 where the user name of the client (logon/password) are different between the client and the server users - I was told it's a "rights" issue and that the client looses the connection (and does not re-establish it) as "protection". D. |
