The Payee Type file should be completed if you use the payee file and with to print 1099 forms.

On the 1099 Misc form there several different boxes where the amounts should be printed. This file should match the wording on the 1099 form show you can easily see how to classify a payee for producing a 1099.

Just make the codes mat the numbers on the 1099 boxes and the wording match their wording.
