Transfer Accounts Between Companies

This menu option can be used to transfer customer records from one company to another company. Normally this would occur when you have set up a second company to hold bad debts or written off accounts. The second company must be set up in advance before you can begin transferring accounts. By doing this transfer, you clear your files of written off accounts without completely destroying the account. You simply move it to the "Bad Debt" company and retain all information on it, including transactions. If, some day, you wish to set the record back up in your real files, simply transfer it back. If you happen to make a collection on an account that has been transferred to the bad debt company, simply transfer it back and process the collection in your real files.

You must enter the account of each customer you want transferred to a different company.
