This menu option will allow you to recalculate the bills without having to reenter the readings. Assume for example, you forget to change a water rate and had calculated the bills before you noticed it. If the readings were stored in holdings files, it would not be a big matter, but if they were not, you would have to change the rates and then reenter all readings.

This routine will only recalculate those bills that have been calculated. Using the example above, assume you had only entered one route before you noticed that the water rates had not been changed. You can still run the routine. Only that one route with the new billing date will be recalculated and the other customers will be ignored.
This system extracts the current readings from each customer's record. If the current usage is not equal to the difference between the old and new readings, the system assumes there was a meter roll or maybe a new meter and the system uses the usage as an override, just as you do when entering readings. There is a problem in that the system cannot determine if you may have entered standard charges in any service as you were entering readings. If you have any situations where you used the standard change option as you were entering readings, you must reenter those customers once this routine is complete.
