Description
Operating system error 30: faulty device. The computer could not read from the device.
Common causes
1. A failing or disconnected drive (hard drive, USB drive or network drive).
2. A path that points to a device this computer does not have, such as the old diskette drive A:\.
Common solutions
1. Check that the drive is connected and working, then retry.
2. If the program was not supposed to use that device, check the location entered on the screen and change it to a folder that exists.
Notes
BR stopped reporting this error in version 4.30. ACS 5 runs on a later BR release, so it should not appear in ACS 5. If it does, write down the program name and line number shown and call ACS.
